Tampa Bay Rays Brett Phillips

(Arlington, TX) -- The Tampa Bay Rays win Game Four of the World Series in Arlington, Texas. They beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 to tie the best-of-seven games series at two games apiece.

Brett Phillips hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth that was misplayed by Chris Taylor in centerfield and then the relay throw home was dropped by catcher Will Smith at home to allow the winning run to score in a wild sequence of events. Randy Arozarena went 3-for-4 with a homer and scored the game-winning run while Brandon Lowe homered and drove in three for the Rays.

For L.A., Justin Turner and Corey Seager are the first pair of teammates in World Series history to each have four hits and hit a home run. Kenley Jansen took the loss in relief.

Game five of the series is tonight with the first pitch set for 8:08 pm ET.
