Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says twenty people were rescued from three boats in the American River on Saturday.
One boat carrying four people capsized, with two other boats trying to help out. They were unsuccessful, as those two boats were caught in branches.
It is unclear if all three boats were from the same group or not. No injuries were reported.
