Ranked: A New Musical To Be Performed In Concert This Weekend At The Crest

Following the success of their musical production titled Ranked, writer Kyle Holmes and composer David Taylor Gomes are teaming up once again for a concert version of the show. And the new production would seem to be a case of life imitating art given the college admission cheating scandal nicknamed "Operation Varsity Blues." That investigation is tied to former Sacramento resident William Rick Singer, reportedly the organizer of the scheme, who allegedly used some of the money he received from parents like actresses Lori Laughlin and Felicity Huffman to fraudulently increase college entrance exam test scores for their children and to bribe college officials.

A year before the cheating scandal Holmes and Gomes were working on Ranked. The pair said on the KFBK Morning News that were not surprised by what was happening in real life and how it seemed to mirror the theme of their production.

Ranked: The New Musical

Ranked: A New Musical will performed at the Crest Theater in Sacramento one-night only on Saturday, June 8th at 7:00 p.m.
