Prosecutors Want Felicity Huffman To Do Time After Monday Guilty Plea

Prosecutors are recommending actress Felicity Huffman gets four months in prison and a 20-thousand dollar fine for her role in the college admissions cheating that has been dubbed Operation Varsity Blues. The recommendation comes after 56-year-old Huffman formally plead guilty Monday to charges she paid 15-thousand-dollars to rig her daughter's SAT Test.

She agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud last month.

Authorities have claimed Huffman's husband, 69-year-old actor William H. Macy, was present at the time college admissions consultant and one time Sacramento resident, Rick Singer, detailed what he could do for one the couple's two daughters because he "controlled" a test center.

Both Huffman and Macy are said to have approved of Singer's plan, but neither Macy nor the daughter have been charged, and prosecutors had not said why.

Huffman is among 14 parents who have agreed to plead guilty to charges in the case.
