To counteract this, Trump has proposed slapping a 100 percent tariff on foreign films. Supporters cheer Trump’s America First vision, arguing it could bring back thousands of jobs lost in Los Angeles, preventing Hollywood from becoming the next Detroit. But critics, including Hollywood elites and globalists, warn the tariff could backfire, raising costs, killing exports, and sparking trade wars with countries like China.
