Below is a sample of the some of the personal stories shared on A&G by some of those who've been helped by WF/FS.
THE WARRIORS SPEAK
"Junior" is a retired Navy Corpsman who did 10 tours during his military career.
He suffered both a broken back and broken neck in an I-E-D attack (which also took the lives of a number of his fellow Corpsmen). The harm that was done to his body healed, but the experience of deep loss was difficult for Junior to handle.
Junior joined Armstrong & Getty to share his story about how Warrior Foundation/Freedom Station has been helping him on his path to recovery.
Povas Miknaitis joined Jack & Joe to share details about his own personal experience with WF/FS.
Povas was awarded a Purple Heart for his actions. His injuries from an IED led to multiple surgeries and care he still deals with to this day.
"I joined the Marine Corps because of that because I was willing to lay down my life to make sure more Americans could be safe.”
Perry Price is a Army vet who was diagnosed with bone cancer shortly after re-enlisting in 2001.
He talked to Jack & Joe about the difficulties he faced following his diagnosis, and how Warrior Foundation/Freedom Station has helped him find his new path! Listen below...
