Thank You!! $1.5 Million Raised for the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station

We are once again humbled by the massive display of generosity that took place during the week of November 15, 2021.

Our loyal A&G listeners dug deep into their pockets to show their support for our injured military men & women by donating over $1.5 million to our Warrior Foundation Freedom Station Give-A-Thon.

Last year's edition of the annual on-air event set a then-record $1.2 million donated. As a testament to the un-ending generosity of our A&G listeners, we were able to surpass last year’s total--upping the ante to $1.5 million! The funds will allow WFFS to purchase plane tickets for those noble, injured military service members so that they can spend the holidays with their families.

WFFS also assists military personnel with transitional housing used both during their recovery process and the transition out of the military.

“The support that we received from our listeners is just fantastic,” said Joe Getty. “We have so many patriots, so many great Americans listening to the show who feel the pull to help those who serve to keep our nation free. Our A&G listeners feel that impulse to help, and the WFFS Give-A-Thon gives them a chance to do that, to say ‘thank you for your service to our nation’".

Jack Armstrong adds, “Here’s the secret formula for raising $1 million in five days...pair the unbelievably generous and patriotic A&G audience with an amazing organization like Warrior Foundation Freedom Station and presto--ya got a million bucks!”

Although the official Give-A-Thon is complete, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station will continue to accept donations...click on the link below to make your donation!

For injured warriors who face the challenges of recovery, rehabilitation and the transition to civilian life, there is no greater gift than to return home to their families for this special time of year.

Thanks to the generosity and compassion of donors like you, thousands of ill and injured service members have left the hospital and flown home for Christmas for the last 16 years. While it seems like a simple gesture, a trip home has a priceless impact on a warrior’s morale and recovery, and the military families who love them. At its heart, sending our heroes home for the holidays is a gesture of gratitude for the men and women who have served, sacrificed, and are now learning how to adapt and overcome both visible and invisible injuries.

In addition to flights home for the holidays, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station assists injured warriors year-round with a variety of programs, including adaptive sports, outdoor therapy, wheelchairs for warriors, vocational projects, education scholarships, career guidance, work wardrobes. and more. We also provide a "home of the brave" via our two transitional housing residences, Freedom Station I and II, which provide injured warriors with the time, guidance and resources to successfully make the transition from military service to civilian life.
