President Trump Wishes Jewish Families A Happy Hanukkah

President Donald Trump is wishing Jewish people in the United States and around the world a happy Hanukkah.  In a statement, the president called the Jewish festival of lights a "time for Jewish families around the world to come together around the lighting of the menorah, to celebrate the miracles of the past and promises of the future."  Trump re-iterated his support for the people of Israel, a Jewish state, which he noted has a "miraculous history of overcoming the tallest of odds."

The White House hosted an official Hanukkah party last week, and took some flack for failing to invite Jewish Democratic members of Congress.
